Script Bites

Nearly all of our guest speakers host at least one of these informal round-table discussions that are regularly taking place throughout the Festival.  You can join any one of  our speakers at a table, listen to them speak on a given topic or in general discussion - and ask questions afterwards!  Delegates and Speakers alike find these intimate group chats most rewarding!  More HERE 

Script Clinic - Euroscript

On the Tuesday and Wednesday of this year's Festival Euroscript will be on site with a 'clinic' allowing screenwriting delegates an opportunity to present their woes (plot structure, characterisation, back-story etc) to one a several professionals who will be able to diagnose and remedy.  These can be pre-arrnaged one-one consultations or drop-in group sessions!  More HERE

Speed Dating!

A brand new feature for SWF2009 enabling those delegates lucky enough to have won a  place, an opportunity to engage in some short but sweet one-to-one encounters with Producers and/or Agents. More HERE

Live Pitching contest

Always popular, our Live Pitching contest returns once more.  10 pre-selected delegates will take to the stage to wow a panel of industry judges with their story idea.  It's like Dragon's Den but with real Dragons.  More HERE 

 

Script Market

Another feature of the programme that caters only for those who have already been selected prior to the Festival.  'Script Market' Finalists broker their spec scripts to Agents, Producers, Development Execs and TV commissioners.  More HERE

 

BAFTA Rocliffe - New Writer's Forum!

On the Wednesday evening BAFTA Rocliffe presents a special 'workshop' session in which preselected delegates will have the chance to see and hear how their material works when an extract is performed by actors.  Presided over by a Guest judge and Followed by discussion and Q&A with the writer.   More HERE

 

Script Library

Not so much a feature of the programme of 'events', Script Library is a resource available to all registered delegates.  An online database into which delegates can upload taglines, synopses and sample extracts of up to 5 separate projects.  These are then available for perusal and download by other registered delegates (including speakers).  A showcase for you and your material.  More HERE
