The Euroscript Clinic is run by full-time professional practitioners with a wealth of experience as writers, directors, script editors and readers.
We can offer you:
• DIAGNOSIS to help you identify problems in your work.
• ADVICE about solving specific problems you're experiencing.
• SUGGESTIONS about how to move your script forward.
• HELP in developing outline ideas you'd like to discuss.
Personal Appointments:
We offer SWF delegates 45-minute appointments that can be booked in advance.
You can, if you wish, send us material, which will be read before your appointment. This can be:
• A story outline of no more than two pages.
• A summary, proposal or idea, expressed in one page or less.
• The first ten pages of a script.
• A question or questions about a project, or your writing.
Alternatively, you can simply use the appointment to talk about an idea, a project, or your writing in general, without sending any written material.
Drop-in Clinic
We also operate a drop-in desk. Come along and discuss your work without an appointment. These sessions are conducted on a first-come-first-served basis, and you may be in a small group.

Paul Bassett Davies founded the Crystal Theatre, whose pioneering multimedia work was acclaimed in Britain and Europe. Two of his one-man shows were Perrier Award finalists at the Edinburgh Festival. Radio and television credits include: Spitting Image, Smith and Jones, Rory Bremner, Jasper Carrot and many more. He had his own series with Jeremy Hardy, and produced Sony Award winning BBC radio series Do Go On, which he wrote with Griff Rhys Jones and Graeme Garden. He wrote the screenplay for The Magic Roundabout film and has written several radio plays for BBC radio 4. His screenplay about underground comic book heroes The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers, written with Gilbert Shelton, is in development with animation studio bolexbrothers. |

Charles Harris is an experienced writer-director who has worked with everyone from James Stewart and Ricky Tomlinson to Spike Milligan and Alexei Sayle, winning awards around the world. His first feature script was optioned for production in Hollywood, and he has continued to write original and commissioned screenplays, and published acclaimed short stories. His first feature as director, Paradise Grove, won international awards and was nominated for a British Independent Film Award. As script consultant, he has worked with writers from Britain, Europe, Asia and the USA, lectured at international film festivals, at London University and London Film School. |

Gabriella Apicella is a screenwriter whose short film Do Nothing, recently filmed in Mexico by Director Alejandro Davalos and award-winning Cinematographer Alvaro Duran, is now in post-production. Her first feature film script, The Girlfriend Killers is gaining interest whilst she works towards getting it optioned and continues on two other feature-length scripts. Gabriella writes for the Arts Council funded creative writing paper and website Notes from the Underground, and is a Sessional Lecturer in Screenwriting at Birkbeck College, part of the University of London. She also delivers courses on Screenwriting and Creative Writing at CSSC London (Civil Service Sports Council). |

Matt Tromans is a writer, director and producer with a growing list of credits on successful feature films. After spending many years in Hollywood working with two time Academy Award nominee Nick Nolte, he recently returned to Europe to write, direct and develop high profile projects. His first film as a producer Off The Black, in association with Forensic Films NYC (Gummo, Julien Donkey Boy, Raising Victor Vargas), premiered strongly at Sundance and was subsequently picked up for Theatrical Distribution by Think Film. His most recent film as a producer, Mediator directed by Dito Tsintsadze, starred Ewen Bremner (Trainspotting, Black Hawk Down) and Nutsa Kukhianidze (Good Thief) and has been selected as Georgia's official entry for the best foreign language category at the Academy Awards. Matt has worked closely with many renowned writers and directors including Ang Lee, Neil Jordan and Olivier Assayas. His debut short film as writer/ director will premiere at London's Raindance Film Festival. |
