The International Screenwriters' Festival is dedicated to the art, business and craft of writing screen story telling. Bringing together professional industry delegates, high profile guests and new talent from around the world, the Festival provides a unique forum to debate and discuss writing dramatic scripts for film, television and new media.

The Festival is run by the not-for-profit SWF Ltd and the festival was conceived and started by Arturi Films Ltd. The Festival Director is Arturi Films’ David Pearson, an award winning film and TV executive, producer, writer and director. The Festival Manager is Kenny MacDonald, who has worked in production in Films and TV and who is also an optioned screenwriter. Mick Escott is the SWF's Business Director; Mick has extensive financial experience in the theatre and arts organisations and is a published author. The Screenwriters’ Festival has a Board of Directors whose Chair is producer Kevin Loader, Venus, Brideshead Revisited, Nowhere Boy.
The Screenwriters' Festival 2009 returns from Monday 26th to Thursday 29th October at The Cheltenham Ladies' College.
With its relaxed and creative Cotswold setting we continue to offer writers, storytellers and industry professionals a forum in which to discuss their material and to develop new alliances, whilst discovering new ways of working together.
